I can hardly believe it, but it has been three months since the #lifelistclub began. In celebration, we're going to have little party.
3. Use the Dave Ramsey plan to get out of debt -- This is a slow and ongoing process, but I'm sticking to it!
And as if that wasn't enough, each of The Life List Club writers has a gift for one of more subscribers/commenters on today's post. Check individual writers blogs (below) for how many winners will be chosen and when their drawings will end.
David – 2 Prizes, 2 winners
Marcia – Pkg of prizes to 1 winner
Sonia – Prize to 1 winner
Jenny H. – 2 winners-choice of prizes
Violeta – Prize to 1 winner
Diana –
Wait, how did all those people get in here? I only made enough cookies for three dozen.
Hum, I might just have to horde them for myself.
As a checkpoint to when our goals began, we are all doing a little recap of what we've accomplished so far (or haven't accomplished in my case)
As far as writing/revising goes, I think I've kept you well updated. I'm nowhere near the place I wanted to be, but I am learning to be patient so that my book can shine :)
Here are my other goals and my progress:
1. Play with my kids everyday, get down and dirty -- I've been trying to take them somewhere everyday that disconnects me from the computer and allows me to really enjoy them. I'm going to keep on, keeping on.
2. Workout for at least one half hour three times a week -- I actually got pretty close to my goal weight, but I haven't been sticking to an exercise routine. Although, since my son started Preschool I have been walking him which I think is pretty darn close enough.
3. Use the Dave Ramsey plan to get out of debt -- This is a slow and ongoing process, but I'm sticking to it!
4. Be more involved in my church and community -- hum, I haven't been great about this one, but I have been trying.
Now for the reason you all came. The Giveaway! To one lucky U.S. Resident I am giving away paperback copies of Oliver Twist, The Secret Garden, and A Little princess.
Aren't they so pretty?

Hey Jennie girl! May I please have cookie, please?!
I love your goal of getting down and dirty with your kids and also incorporating it with part of your workout routine. Why not make life easier? I did the same thing when I went home to see family. I knew I would make it to the gym that day, but I ran around with the kiddos and played fetch with the dog. Just being active is still progress towards your goal.
Awesome giveaway, the covers are beautiful. Congrats to whoever wins them, enjoy!
Hey Jennie! You did great! Look at all you accomplished! Don't forget, this is only the 1st quarter. You still have another 3 quarters to work on oyur goals! I, too, love this playing with your kids everyday goal. So many parents let this slip by, so kudos for tackling that most important goal! Love having you in LLC and look forward to the next 3 months with you!
All of your goals are great. I really like the one with your kids. I need to do that too. My church is doing a Dave Ramsey class that I should go to, but can't because of soccer practice. I'm sure you will accomplish all the goals you have set for yourself. As Cooking Mama says, "You can do it!"
All the books look SO pretty, I don't know which one...A Little Princess. I think my niece would really like that one.
@Jenny, it's a prize of ALL THREE books or the critique. So I'll put you down for the books :)
Great giveaways! What a fun celebration! I'm hopping right now...
What a fun giveaway! Those books are really pretty. I'd go for the books. ;) And I want some of those cookies! YUM! I may have to go make some now... Have a great weekend! :D
Don't include me in the draw, being from across the pond and all that, just wanted to say that I think you're doing great. You got the most important one, your kids, nailed :-)
Oh my gosh! So much awesomeness! I love it. Definitely enter me to win!
Also - great goals! Those are very similar to my own. I need to do better on all of them. Some days I do great - other days, not so much. Glad you shared.
Dang, I forgot to bring cookies or punch either one. Glad you brought some. Good job on the goals. Keep up the good work.
Happy Milestone day, and cheers to your successes!
Looks like you're making good progress, Jen! And I love your giveaways. I'm beyond happy that you brought out the big guns: FIREWORKS. Ahem. Btw, what's the Dave Ramsey plan? OK, keep partying! :)
Good for you, Jen! I'm so proud of you for your goals and accomplishments! ;)
I would love the books! (One can never have enough books, LOL)
Some worthy goals you have here=) Good luck with fulfilling them!
I would love to win the books. I think reading them to my daughter would be a great activity for both of us!
Wow! Those goals are in SO MANY AREAS! It's so amazing that you can focus on so much at once! I'm seriously impressed.
And I'll take a critique of yours any day.
Love that you're spending more time with the kiddies...that's always on my list and the most fun thing to get done! Awesome goals!
And I would love to put my hat in the ring for a critique!
I'm with Jess and Elizabeth above, that I really like that you include your kids in your goals--it's what keeps me sane (or a little more sane, anyway, lol). I adore the books, but I will put my hat in the ring for the critique (much, much, more needed!)
Firstly, I'd like to say that your goals are excellent goals. I've been trying to spend more time with my dog because I work too much (then I hurt my knee and can't really do anything with him :( )
Secondly, I'm a follower of the blog, can I be included in the contest? I'd like a ten page critque...or A Little Princess.
P.S. You're awesome, thanks for the comment on my blog :)
Mmmm...cookies! Congrats on everything you've done! :D
Wow! Excellent!
I love where you say you're going to "keep on keeping on". Way to go! You're doing awesome.
I am so glad I'm on vacation when calories don't count! I'll be sitting down with YOUR cookies and Jess' punch. Yummy.
I think your goals are beautiful, Jennie. They're very focused in the "Now" things that matter. I can't wait to see how you feel in three more months. :-)
You won an award!
I struggle to get down and dirty with my kids as well. But then, I left the ranks of childhood before I should have.
I'd love to have those books!
Those books are SO pretty. And I'm with ya on the "get down and dirty" play with the kids, and with finding church and community--such great goals.
Thanks for all of your help yesterday! Really appreciated it and I'm off on running! May there be many more cookies and give-aways for you!
Billy B
What a fun hop. And I love your goals, especially #1. Our children grow up so fast it's important to grab all the moments with them you can.
*heads to check out the other blogs*
What a great blog hop idea, and a fun party to boot! When need to have a #goatposse shin-dig one of these days. :) Your goals ROCK, and I'm so proud of you for striving to meet them and all you've accomplished so far. Now put that plate of cookies away. I think I gained five pounds just looking at them.
