I really got down and dirty reading this month. There are so many good books out there and I just could not get enough. To exceed my goal of a book a week I read seven books this month, and they were all excellent!
I have been anticipating this book since I first saw the cover a good seven months ago. little did I know the author would leave us with a huge cliff hanger! I would say that I should have waited until the next book, but I'm glad I didn't. I like speculating on what could be :D
Did it take me long enough to get around to reading Possession? Apparently not becasue the next book (surrender) comes out in June and this one has a serious cliff hanger as well. Needless to say, I per-ordered my copy. Love the teen angst in this book.
Both excellent books and way funnier than I thought they would be. Both books had me laughing hysterically from line one. Do not miss out on these clever little gems. The last one comes out in July and I can barely contain my excitement!Seriously some of the best paranormal book I have ever read.
I've been blogging friends with Jessica for awhile now, and although I knew she was amazingly awesome, I had no idea how amazingly awesome her book would be. I love the premise of the girl who lives five times longer than your average person. Too cool!
If you want to know how awesome I think Artemis Fowl is, read this post. Another fantastic read by Eoin Colfer, and I loved the time travel in this one!
Last, but certainly not least, is Matched by Ally Condie. I'm halfway through the second book - Crossed. This is one of those books that you just cannot put down becasue you get so caught up in the lives of the well developed characters. One of the best reads of my year so far!
That about covers it folks. Hope you all are reading something fantastic as well. If so, tell me about it in the comments!

Thanks for the recommendations! I've been meaning to read some of these for a while, too...
I need to pick up the second book Supernaturally, but I enjoyed the first one. I still have Everneath to read. I have library books that I had to put in front of it. But now I'm ready for a cliffhanger ending. Can't wait for Surrender to come out and I loved Crossed. I've never read any Eion Colfer's books but just the name makes me want to pick it up.
Thanks for all the recommendations.
I've only read Matched, Artemis Fowl, and Possession from your list. Everneath has a beautiful cover. My TBR pile is always expanding. Thanks for the mini-reviews!
I love the title PARANORMALCY. And I need to get to reading OPPRESSION soon.
I read Matched and enjoyed it. I keep hearing about Everneath and Paranormalcy and need to read them. I have Artemis Fowl downloaded and ready to read when I get done with the books I'm reading currently and have ready to read. I'm reading Variant and am almost done. Will review it on my blog this week or next and am interviewing the author on my wrter's group podcast in May (www.writingsnippets.com). I have a couple arcs I'm going to read and review as well. They are Angel Eyes and ShapeShifter's Secret (one of my writer's group member's first novel coming out soon!)
I've read Matched and have Crossed on my shelf to read. LOVED the voice in Matched. Haven't read any of the others, but now i have a slew to add to my already teetering TBR pile. Thanks!
Wow, you read some good books this month! Can't wait to read Everneath, Crossed and Supernaturally! Possession, Oppression and Matched were great and I guess I should read Artemis Fowl too. What kind of book is it? Fantasy?
I've got a few these on my TBR list, except Everneath because I read that one and thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
I'm reading Oppression right now. It's great!
Great choices here. And I've either got or read most of them. And the others on on my list! =D
Four of those are on my holds list at the library (just added Possession and Paranormalcy--thank you!) :) I've read Matched (loved it), Crossed (liked it--not as much as Matched) and look forward to the third one :)
We are like book twins. I've either read or have ALL these books on my shelves :) You have excellent taste!
Oo, I am reading "Crossed" right now! I'm glad that you think it's good! ;)
Adding a bunch of these to my TBR list on Goodreads :)
I've been interested in quite of few of those, so good to know you enjoyed them! Personally, I loved the ARTEMIS FOWL series. They're a perfect blend of humor, excitement and fantasy. :)
Mini reviews are the best! I love all these books, (Okay except Artemis because I haven't read that one yet.) It's hard to wait for the next book when there is a sequel or it comes in a trilogy. I'm dying to get to those next ones too!
I really really want to read the Ally Condie books.
Alright! Well done:) My wife loves the Artemis Fowl books, but I haven't read them. I'm working on the Koran right now...but it's pretty long.
Lots to add to my TBR lists. Wow such a selection.
Beauty, I am going to pull you kicking and screaming into the land of contemporary for next month. Email me if you need a list!
:)
I love you for mentioning Artemis Fowl. I love all the books in the Fowl series. They're incredible. Eoin Colfer is an extremely good writer. You have no idea how I pronounced his name for a long time. It's embarassing/. lol
