I first heard about NaNo WriMo three years ago shortly after I started blogging. I thought people were nuts for even attempting to write 50k in a month. Yet, I couldn’t pass up the chance to try it out for myself. Since then, I’ve done NaNo (including camp NaNo) 4 times--this November will make 5.
Because of this, I’ve spent a considerable about of time on
NaNoWriMo.org, and they’re doing some amazing stuff for people. I have a 14 yr
old cousin who went to LTUE last year because NaNo came to his school, and he
decided he really liked writing. If that isn’t awesome, I don’t know what is.
In these past three years I’ve felt awful for not giving
back when NaNo has been doing so much for writers everywhere. That’s why I
decided to write an anthology with a few awesome friends and donate all the
proceeds to NaNoWriMo.
Here's the rules: on November 1st post what you want for you NaNo and put a buy link to The Spirit of Christmas Anthology, as well as the blog hop code--- <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.simply-linked.com/listwidget.aspx?l=6a0a61b2-8e5b-4acc-bb60-db0e8f46255f" ></script> . That's it. Get as creative as you like, pictures--flash fiction--video, think outside the box.
Of course, the bloghop wouldn't be complete without prizes! Since they're five of us, they're five excellent prizes.
Jennie's giving away a 50 page critique + an ecopy of The Spirit of Christmas
Jessica's also giving a 50 page critique + an ecopy of The Spirit of Christmas
Kelley's giving a $25 Amazon Giftcard + an ecopy of The Spirit of Christmas
David's also giving a $25 Amazon Giftcard + an ecopy of The Spirit of Christmas
Cassie's giving a choice of any of her ebooks + an ecopy of The Spirit of Christmas
Pretty cool, eh? You can sign up even if you're not doing NaNo. What are you waiting for? Sign up below!

I never realized they did things like that.
That is very cool. What if you're not doing NaNo? Can you still do the blogfest? Hmmm. I'll have to think about that.
I did it last year and won. So I proved to myself I could do it, and I probably could find stuff to write, but I have other things I need to catch up on. It might be a last minute decision for me. We'll see.
Oh I love this idea! I'm in! :D
I love how encouraging the office of letters and light can be. I wish they'd come to my school when I was a kid, I might have come around to writing sooner.
Time to get this party started! So glad I'm able to help in this venture. :)
Thank you so much for having me be apart of this wonderful project. I'm so excited! It's going to be amazing.
I don't officially do NaNo, but since 2010, I've started a new book during November. All those books were well over 50K, so none of them were finished in only a month. Although the one I began in 2010 had a first draft of 397K and was completed in only three months, so I suppose I could've started it at the beginning of November, not the 18th, and had 50K done in time!
It is great seeing the wonderful effort to show support to NaNo because they do quite a bit. I'll spread the word as I can :-)
Aww, fun! I'm not doing NaNo. I did it once and it was a good experience, but I can't write that way, so I figure why waste a month every year doing it? I do like to cheer others on, though!
Already in and very excited.
They do way more than I ever thought
I love NaNo - the whole organisation is great! And I have signed up for this fun hop. :)
I'm in even if I'm on a blogging hiatus.
Wow! I think that is simply a wonderful idea :) great thinking, NaNo is an amazing experience and I'm participating this year too.
Count me in!
One of these years I'm going to participate in NaNo. It hasn't been the right month for me me to start something new. Good luck to all of you participants!
I am so, so, so lucky to be a part of this project! What a great idea Jennie :)
Goodness, do you know how long it's been since I've participated in a blog hop? Okay, not that long. The last one was about two months ago, but before that it was probably a year. And they're so fun. Sad I missed this one. =(
