Young Blood

Every once in a great while I find a song that really speaks to me. It might have something to do with things I'm going through, or it just bonds with whatever it is I'm writing. This song is the latter. The feeling of it, that swirling movement just feels like it needs to be part of EXISTENCE. So here it is, Young Blood by The Naked and Famous.

What song fit's your current MS?

P.S. I started editing and I am loving it!

For WIP1 - Chopin, Nocturne No. 2 in Eb Major
For WIP2 (NaNo) - Anything by Philip Glass, as long as there are no words.

Awesome song :)

Very cool song.

To write my manuscript I had the self titled Evanescence CD playing none stop. So epic! So perfect for my story.

Love the song and video they remind me of Passion Pit.

For my last WIP since most of it took place in 1925 I listened to Bessie Smith, who is amazing, to get into the mindset of the 20's. I also listened to a 1920's station on my Pandora.

Love the song!

I haven't listened to music in a while for my WIP. My hubby transferred data to a different hard drive and erased my playlists. :0(. But, I listen to it A LOT when I'm developing characters and doing my first draft. I listened to a lot of screamy girls for Kella and a bunch of dance party music for her sister.

Nice! I have a playlist for each of my WIPs and when certain songs play they take me right back to the stories. I love that association.

On the WIP I'm getting ready to query, there's an element in Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts" that immediately made me think of my MC.

Aw! Not available to watch in my country. Glad it resonated with you, though! Also, I'm very glad you're enjoying the editing. :D

I don't get to listen to a whole lot of music so I can't say that I've found anything that would really fit my WiPs. But I'm glad you've found something as that can really help with the inspiration factor.

Keep at the edits :-)

Yay for editing! And yes, music helps me a TON. I have a different playlist for each of my books. I'll have to share some on my blog...since I can't think right now... ;)

My current wip has the ongoing feeling from Come Undone by Duran Duran.
Loved your song. A lot of energy.

Good song - hadn't heard it before, so thanks for sharing.
Goo Goo Dolls' Iris sparked a story idea, but I haven't yet committed it to paper. Hopefully this coming year. Happy New Year!

Such a cool song, thanks for sharing it. I can see how it inspires you.
As for my WIP, In Sleep by Lissie fits the situation best, but Straight to You by Josh Groban speaks to me the most for it.

Hey cool song, I swiped it for my fb page, thanks! One that I've liked a lot lately is "Someone That I Used to Know," by Gotye. Imma try and link it but I kind of suck at that, so if it doesn't work, please look for it, it's worth it! http://youtu.be/5c2LeMytIdo

I'm in the outlining stage, so no music has hit yet. Enjoy your editing!

After the last one of yours I loved, I went to youtube to look this one up. (Your video doesn't play in my country). I'm so glad I did. I might have to try and squeeze it into my next series :-)

Very hop video. The Asian girl in the vid is so beautiful and fresh faced. Perfect for the lyrics. Great song.

Naked and Famous! I found them last year and fell in love with their sound. Can't say I have a song for my current project though, I'm still holidaying it up to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's holiday albums.

Neat song! I find I can make most any song fit my current work in progress...just depends upon my mood:)

I'm not currently working on any projects--taking a break for the last of the holidays. But for the novel I'm about to dive back into, Beethoven's 9th Symphony.

Congrats on editing. Love the song. Every time I hear Without you by David Guetta It gets me thinking about my WIP.

That's a cool song, and the video is great, too. Sounds like things are going well for you. I hope you have a Happy New Year and that 2012 rocks big time for you!

I guess I'd choose a pirate ditty for my WIP!

Awesome MS song!

Is it sad that my current MS doesn't have a song? Probably not as sad as the fact that my last ms didn't, either. Sigh.

I don't really have a playlist. Music with words tends to be a bit distracting so any kind of classical, soft jazz, instrumental whatever is good. But the one soundtrack I kept coming back to when writing this current WiP was Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Not sure why, guess cause I love it.

This song here sounds like a pretty cool song.

The song False Alarm by Cherry Ghost inspired one of the novellas in the trilogy I'm working on. I listened to it for about 2 years before I could pin down the story. Not heard your song before - I get very stuck in my current collection and rarely buy new stuff. I'm trying to change that!
