IWSG: Feelings

Yay for the first Wednesday of the month and the Insecure Writers Support Group!

Hosted by the awesome Alex J. Cavanaugh
I have a lot going on this month, which can lead to a lot of insecurity. I'm re-writing my NaNo novel from scratch, I'm querying, I'm planning a party for my writer's group, and I'm just trying to keep up with summer madness of weddings, parties, and camping trips. So basically words aren't enough to describe the chaos in my life.

Thank goodness for Gifs.

When I decided to step in to the querying waters, I thought I'd take it a little at a time. But it ended more like this:

To take my mind off things I thought I'd try writing 50,000 words this month. It's only been five days and I already feel like this:

That's okay, I can do it as long as I keep getting up early. But sometimes I just want to do this to my alarm clock:

When I think about all the weddings/ summer get together's/ book launches I wanna do this:

Basically, I feel a lot like this kid:

How's your June?

I've got girls camp next week. Other than that I've managed to keep it fairly clean. I plan to write a lot because I have a deadline at the beginning of August.

I can't believe it's June all ready. I have a lot of reasons for an insecure writer this month.

LMAO at the kid with the cymbal. We've all had days like that.

Lol! That's a lot of emotions! Actually, I'm surpressing a ton of things this month, knowing I'll have to deal with it all soon enough. This month is writing month - do or die :)

You might need to find a bigger hiding place than a trash can though.

Love your visual aids! You make me smile. Good luck on the rewriting from scratch. I've done that before. It was actually a positive experience. I hope yours is too!

My schedule and routine are so out of whack with my kids around more (which I love!) that I'm not getting much writing done. I'm trying, instead, to focus on refueling my creativity and not worry too much productivity right now.

Those last two are so cute! That poor kid.
You are a rock star! I don't know how you are getting so much writing done on top of everything else. :) Well done!

Great gifs. I get how you're feeling. I've been in the struggle of rewriting my NaNo as well. Not going as smoothly as I'd hoped. More like that backpacker into the "querying waters"

I just returned from holiday in Florida and am planning another holiday there later in the month, when I'll be more on my own timetable instead of someone else's. I haven't gotten as many chapter finished as I'd hoped by this point, but I'm hoping to make up for that over this month.

LOL. One day at a time, eh? That's how we survive.

Yeah, querying is the gift that just keeps on giving. and for me it tends to give neuroses. And I thought I could just whip out a work in progress too.

Nope.

But I'm back on track and adjusting to the absolute crazies (have you noticed that the rejections aren't as disruptive as the requests? that's what I find crazy!)

Good luck! (and that poor kid, what a good save!)

Querying is definitely messy and muddy with lots of trenches! I found it can taint pretty much everything. I do hope you keep going!

I swear we're living parallel lives... maybe someone should write a book about us... :P

haha. I love all these graphics! You seem to be on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Good luck! I'm sure you'll get everything straightened out.

That cat getting in the bin is the best thing I've ever seen! I can't stop laughing. The way it sits there with the lid on its head! Thank you!

I'm also writing 50,000 words this month with JuNoWriMo and while I'm behind I'm still excited since it's my first MG novel. All I have to say is best of luck and challenges can be overcome if you never give up. I believe in you.

It feels like time has passed toooooo quickly!
There's still so much to do... writing, blogging, finding time to read as well... and there's day to day living...

Wow, you have so much on your plate right now. Rewriting a book from scratch is never an easy task, as I know from experience, so good luck! I hope you don't get overwhelmed from everything you need to do!
